Zen Karate Diaries
Roy, our electrician, is a dark horse - his is an 8th Dan Black Belt Karate Master and Sensei.
And he's just published a book about his journey - 'Zen Karate Diaries'.
Growing up in a tough neighbourhood in the 1950s and 1960s, he took up Karate to defend himself against the bullying gangs at school.
He has tought Karate in London for forty years and continues to inspire students to follow the path of Zen Karate.

Shard Viewing Party : THIS THURSDAY : Netil 360
A light show will take over the London skyline on 5 July to celebrate the external completion of the Shard.
The show will feature 12 lasers and 30 searchlights illuminating the 309m-high building, which was designed by Italian architect Renzo Piano. The show will connectthe Shard to 15 other London landmarks including the Gherkin, London Eye and Tower Bridge through the use of coloured lasers.
At Netil 360 we will be celebrating this with a Shard inspired food and drinks Menu. Come and join us on our rooftop for a perfect view of the Shard light show. To book a dining table email lena@creativenetworkpartners.com

New Building in Hackney Downs
Netil House now has a sister building: "Hackney Downs Studios". It's massive and right by Hackney Downs park. Creative Network Partners that runs Netil House has only just taken it on. The very first people will move in in a couple of months and we are plotting an arts festival to launch the space in November. Highlight of May-Our Time Out Article!
May was a busy month for Netil House. After having an amazing Open Studios event and after-party, we closed the month with a wicked 3 page spread in Time-Out Magazine. Its our second time being mentioned in the magazine and our first major spread so we've been doing celebratory dances all over the place! If you haven't picked up your copy yet, check out the abbreviated online version to see some of our residents at work and a cameo from Dizzee Rascal chilling in our event space. We want to send a big thank you to the residents for participating and a special shout out to the Time-Out team for an amazing article.

Waylayers Shoot Hear No Lies with Babanuki
We get that warm, fuzzy feeling inside whenever we see Netil House residents work together. This time is no different. Atmospheric pop band Waylayers collaborated with their fellow residents, Babanuki on their video for their new single "Hear No Lies." Babanuki shot the video in Netil 000. It features cool light trails and neon patterns dancing around the band and even inside them (literally).

Dizzee Rascal and Pepper shoot video in Netil 000
We were just loving the fact that one of the sickest grime artists to ever go mainstream was in Netil 000! Dizzee Rascal came through to our event space to shoot a video with his new artist Pepper. Production company Skin Flicks helped Pepper shoot her first video. Once again Netil 000 was transformed from warehouse party space to something completely different... this time it was a living room in an elevator??

Us Design Shoots Wiley Video at Netil 000
Netil House residents, Us Design, shot an amazing video for grime artiste, Wiley in our event space, Netil 000. Check out the quirky new video for Wiley's single, "Numbers in Action". Us Design took a minimalistic approach, and used Wiley in the same space, throughout the entire video, while showing many aspects of the video-making process. Wiley described Us Design's video as "the best video I ever done."
